The next day was a much happier one, it was Tycho’s birthday and Aelia invited everyone to her home to celebrate. Pascal’s brother, Vidcund, stood off away from the others with a rather sour look on his face as Pascal raised Tycho up to blow out his candles.

Tycho aged up to a cute kid! The antenna that were merely nubs before sprouted on his head which... only made him look more like an alien. But that was probably fine, right?

Lazlo moseyed on over towards Vidcund with a grin on his face, “Why such a sour look? Even you like cake, right?”

Vidcund pinched the bridge of his nose with a heavy sigh, “Why is everyone acting like this is just a normal birthday party?”

“Because... it is?” Lazlo attempted slowly.

“This kid is just more trouble than it’s worth, Lazlo, and you know it.” Vidcund hissed back, “We’ll never get a moments rest from all the newscasters and rival scientists, I mean look, it has antenna now.”

He’s my nephew and I won’t hear you talking like that about him.” Lazlo snapped back, trying to keep his voice down from the others, “So if you’re going to be a jerk, why don’t you woohoock off?”

After the party, Aelia brought Tycho into her room for some privacy.

“Sims may get anxious with you in that form, so I shall teach you a fun trick, okay?” Aelia told him as soon as she had closed the door.

“Oh! I like tricks.” He beamed at her excitedly.

“Now... picture in your mind the form you wish to take and then...”

Tycho gasped as Aelia’s skin became blue and her ears elongated, “You- you’re like me!” he exclaimed.

After a few false starts, a tiny Pascal stood before Aelia, his arms stretched wide

.

“Look, look, I did it!” Tycho exclaimed happily with a wag of his arms.

“A wonderful disguise... But perhaps we will get you a hat in the meantime.” Aelia smiled, noting his antenna still sticking out like sore thumbs.

After getting a fancy new toque to cover his antenna, Tycho went to sim school and met some friends, quickly gaining a nice little group to go play after class with. Jill Smith, of course, Lucy Burb, Buck Grunt and Beau Broke.
